Career Prospects
Having a qualification majoring in both TV reporting and
production gives our graduates a clear perspective of an intertwined
industry. The Television Reporting and Production Program will not
only instil essential skills but will also show you how to get
started in television.
As a television reporter you will have an exciting job
reporting local or national news. You may be covering a political
convention one day, interviewing a celebrity the next, and reporting
on breaking news after that.
As a television producer you may be involved in everything
from coming up with ideas for programs to hiring the stars and
supervising shooting. You will have a rewarding and creative job
that lets you see the results of your work.
The authors of the program are award-winning television
journalists and senior producers (MTV to Hollywood) who will provide
you with insider advice on what you need to do in order to break
into this competitive industry. Work can be found as a freelancer or
in a fulltime capacity. Roles can typically be found with:

Assessment Details
This course includes written assessments that you
complete as part of your course work and then forward to your tutor.
Once your tutor has marked and graded your work you will receive
prompt feedback.
Previous Study
Requirements?
The great news is that you don't need any previous experience to
take this course at any of the three levels it is offered at: Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma.
Certificate, Diploma or
Advanced Diploma?
- Certificate Level: represent basic vocational skills
and knowledge.
- Diploma Level: represent fundamental principles,
techniques and knowledge. ICI Diploma level qualifications
recognise the capacity for initiative and judgment across a
broad range of technical and/or management functions.
- Advanced Diploma: represents are more specialised
qualification and signifies skill and knowledge of a greater
complexity and a higher level of personal accountability than is
required at a Diploma level.

All materials essential for course completion are
included in the cost of the course fee. Upon enrolment, students
